To make the unseen, seen. The Invisible project is about giving ‘visual life’ to some New Zealand towns and settlements, which once had a thriving community and reason to exist. The ruins that remain hint at the past and are an important part of New Zealand’s history. However few people know about these settlements or the reasons they existed.
The title of this project, Invisible, came from the idea of what was once seen is now unseen. To try and give visual life through documenting the current sighting to highlight how significant these towns were, the project being a documentation archive.

Here are some of the poster designs I did for the embossed posters. I did this digitally, in order to create laser cuts out of plywood and then using the letterpress embossed them typographic and iconographic deisgns for each specific town. Showing some differentiations throughout each poster whilst also showing some similarites, as these towns are all in the same reigion but they are have their own character.
